Calliope Durif

The Calliope Range is released in limited quantities and only in exceptional years benefitting the standards we set for our premium wines. Grapes for the Calliope range are hand-picked from our century-old vines to produce wines of great intensity and flavour.

Impenetrable inky black colour with an equally deep dark purple black hue. Potent ripe black cherry, black plum and liquorice aromas have an earthy leather overlay. Powerful luscious black and Morello cherry fruits run into a prominent dose of vanillin oak. Finishes with a dash of spice. Ripe chewy tannins provide firmness. Long plush aftertaste with lingering vanillin oak. Matured in American oak hogsheads for 18 months.
